v3 is the release where PodAnalyst stopped being a dashboard.
Dashboards assume you know what to look for. You open a chart, you apply your own judgement, and you decide whether anything on screen matters. That works if you already know what a healthy retention curve looks like — and most people don't, which is exactly why they came to us.
Radar
Radar is your show's home page now. When you open a podcast, you land on a feed of signals rather than a wall of charts: a spike in listeners on one platform, a review that landed, a drop-off that moved, an episode that's outperforming its predecessors.
Each signal is written up in a sentence or two, with the chart that produced it attached. You can dismiss the ones you don't care about, and Radar learns from that — the feed gets quieter and more specific the longer you use it.
The point is that you shouldn't have to go looking. Something worth your attention should arrive.
Iris
Iris is an analyst you can ask questions. "Why did last Tuesday's episode do better than the one before it?" "Which platform is growing fastest for me this quarter?" "What's my best-performing episode in the first ten minutes?"
Iris reads your actual numbers — the same first-party data the rest of the app uses — and answers in plain English, citing the episodes it's drawing from. You can also connect it to your own Claude or ChatGPT account, in which case the analysis runs in your assistant rather than in our app.
What we're watching
Two things we want to get right before the next release:
- Signal quality. Too many alerts is the same as no alerts. We'd rather Radar say nothing for a week than send you six notifications that don't matter.
- Explaining the reasoning. Every Iris answer should be traceable back to the numbers behind it. We're working on showing that working, not just the conclusion.
