What Iris is

Iris is PodAnalyst's AI analyst. The difference between Iris and a general chatbot is grounding: before answering, she looks up your actual numbers — your episodes, retention, reviews, chart positions, and tracked keywords — and answers from those. You don't have to paste anything in, and she won't invent figures.

Ask her "how did last week compare to the week before?" and she'll go and find out.

Where to find her

  • The Ask Iris rail — a panel on the right of the Radar, Keywords, Charts, Reviews, and Episodes pages, so she's always one question away while you're reading.
  • The floating chat button — bottom corner of every app page, so she's reachable from anywhere.
  • Recently asked — the rail lists your past conversations so you can pick one back up instead of starting over.
  • Dig into this — on any Radar card, opens the chat with that finding already loaded.

What she can look things up

Iris has direct access to your show's data, including:

  • Show-level metrics over any period, by platform
  • Individual episodes — performance and full retention curves
  • Episode transcripts, when your show has them
  • Your tracked keywords and their Apple Podcasts rankings
  • Chart positions and how they've moved
  • Listener reviews
  • Best-practice articles from our library, which she'll cite when relevant

Because she's working from your data, the more specific you are, the more she can do. "Why did episode 42 drop off at the 30-minute mark?" gets a better answer than "how's my show doing?"

Suggested questions

The rail offers starting points grouped by theme — Overview, Retention, Topics, Reviews, and a few bigger-picture asks. Click one to send it. They're there to show you what's possible, not to limit you.

Getting good answers

  • Ask follow-ups. Iris remembers the conversation, so "why?" and "show me the month before" work.
  • Name the period. "Last 60 days" gets a different answer than "all time."
  • Ask her to compare. "Apple vs Spotify for the last three episodes" is exactly the kind of question she's built for.
  • Push back. If an answer doesn't match what you're seeing, say so — she'll re-check.

Every answer ends with suggested follow-ups, so you're never left staring at a blank prompt.

Availability

Chat requires a fully onboarded podcast — Iris needs your data before she can talk about it. If yours isn't connected yet, you'll see "You need to finish onboarding your podcast before chat is enabled." Start with Connecting your data.
