What the differences actually mean
- Retention data is the big one. On Community, the retention columns on the Dashboard and Episodes pages are blurred. Retention is where you find out why an episode worked, so this is usually what people upgrade for first.
- Episode history determines how far back you can look. Community shows your most recent 50 episodes; Pro and Network show 200. The CSV export follows the same limit.
- CSV export saves what's on screen — metrics, episodes, and the columns behind them. See How to read the CSVs.
- Podcast count is per account, not per person. Each show needs its own data connection.
- User roles on Network let you control what each team member can access — see Team and access.
Upgrading
Click Upgrade to Pro in the top nav, or hit the upgrade prompt wherever you meet a locked feature. The Choose your plan dialog shows all three side by side.
You'll be taken to Stripe's secure checkout to enter payment details. PodAnalyst never sees or stores your card — Stripe handles the whole transaction.
Your plan applies immediately, and locked features unlock as soon as payment completes.
Managing your subscription
Once you're on a paid plan, Billing appears in your avatar menu (top right). It opens the Stripe billing portal, where you can:
- Update your payment method
- See past invoices
- Change plans
- Cancel
This menu item only appears on paid plans.
On the Community plan you won't see Billing — there's nothing to manage yet. Use Upgrade to Pro instead.
If your payment fails
Stripe retries failed payments automatically. If a subscription lapses, your account returns to Community limits — your data isn't deleted, and locked features come back the moment payment succeeds.
If your trial has expired
You'll see a banner across the top of the app reading "Your trial has expired" with an Upgrade Now button. Click through to pick a plan. Your data stays intact while you decide.
