Getting started
Connecting your data
Invite PodAnalyst to your Apple Podcasts Connect and Spotify for Creators accounts so your analytics start flowing.
How it works
PodAnalyst never asks for your Apple or Spotify password. Instead, you invite our data account as a read-only team member on each platform. We use that access to read your analytics, and nothing else. You can remove us at any time from the same settings pages.
The account to invite is:
data@podanalyst.com
Connect Apple Podcasts
- Sign in to Apple Podcasts Connect.
- Go to Account, then People.
- Click Invite and enter
data@podanalyst.com. - Give them the Analyst role.
- Select the show you want tracked, then send the invite.
Connect Spotify for Creators
- Sign in to Spotify for Creators.
- Go to Settings, then Manage Team.
- Click Invite.
- Use the name PodAnalyst, the email
data@podanalyst.com, and the role Analytics Reader. - Send the invite.
Do both platforms.
Connecting only one gives you half the picture — the Dashboard will show Apple and Spotify side by side, and the platform filter is only useful once both are in.
Waiting for your first data
The platforms report on their own schedule, so it can take a couple of hours before numbers appear. You'll see a Complete Your Setup reminder banner in the app while we wait.
A few things that are normal in the first day:
- Some metrics appear before others. Followers and plays usually land first; listening hours take longer.
- Very recent episodes may show blank cells. There's simply nothing reported for them yet.
- Chart positions and keyword ranks refresh on a slower cycle than your listener counts.
If nothing has appeared after 24 hours, check that the invites were accepted on both platforms, then email support@podanalyst.com.
Adding another podcast
On the free plan you can track one podcast. To add more, see Your podcasts — each show you add needs its own Apple and Spotify invites.
